Dr. Aviona Goetsch
PT, DPT
Physical Therapist
I grew up in the Philippines and later moved to the United States to pursue my physical therapy career. I completed my physical therapy education in the Philippines. I pursued a doctorate in Physical Therapy at Shenandoah University for my lifelong learning as a physical therapist.
Since starting my career, I have worked in skilled nursing, pediatric care, outpatient, and rehabilitation-focused environments after a personal injury, where I’ve gained experience treating a wide range of musculoskeletal and functional conditions. My work has centered on helping patients continue to regain mobility, decrease pain, and improve their overall quality of life through individualized, evidence-based care.
Alongside my clinical practice, I have continued to pursue additional training and professional development, including MPS (Microcurrent Point Stimulation), dry needling certification, and ongoing learning in areas such as vestibular rehabilitation, concussion management, and emerging healthcare technologies.
I am a licensed physical therapist with a doctorate degree in physical therapy and with clinical experience in evaluating and treating a wide range of musculoskeletal and functional impairments, including post-orthopedic rehabilitation and movement dysfunction. I have completed advanced training in dry needling and microcurrent point stimulation therapy and have continued professional development in areas such as pain science and patient-centered care.
My experience includes working with different patient populations in outpatient, homehealth, and pediatric settings, focusing on restoring mobility, reducing pain, and improving functional independence.
In addition to my clinical background, I am actively expanding my expertise in emerging areas such as regenerative rehabilitation concepts, vestibular and concussion management, and the integration of technology and AI into healthcare practice as healthcare evolves. I am also building experience in digital health content creation and practice growth strategies within physical therapy.
Core Value: Integrity, Respect, and Innovation
“The standard of beauty is not definite, we define it.”
I am a physical therapist that assesses, evaluates, and manages patients with difficulty returning to their functional activities due to their underlying conditions, such as an injured brain after an accident, episodes of dizziness, or presence of pain due to postoperative procedures, and documents their progress.
I like treating post-op patients, concussions, and vestibular cases and managing pain. I feel good satisfaction seeing my patients improve.
I like working with people who are in the same field as me. It gives me a fresh new perspective on how to address difficult physical therapy diagnoses. It gives me a new good idea of techniques and treatment for other types of patients.
